As 2025 comes to a close, the Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance (OETQA) at Lac Hong University (LHU), Vietnam, has marked a year of significant achievements—reinforcing its pivotal role in advancing academic quality, fostering international accreditation and sustainable development, and elevating the university’s reputation both regionally and globally.

Quality Commitment – Toward Global Integration

Outstanding achievements throughout the year — such as LHU’s inclusion in international rankings, the expansion of accredited academic programs, the promotion of academic partnerships, technology transfer, and knowledge sharing — have underscored the Center’s vital contribution to strengthening the university’s academic credibility. 2025 marked a clear turning point in affirming LHU’s commitment to quality and its strategy for global integration.

The story behind the numbers

  1. Reputation and Rankings

In 2025, Lac Hong University was recognized as one of 16 higher education institutions in Vietnam included in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, which assess universities based on their contributions to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This achievement reflected OETQA’s efforts in proposing strategies, guiding academic direction, and supporting initiatives aligned with sustainable development.

  1. LHU was ranked in the 801–1000 band in the 2025 THE Impact Rankings.
  2. Quality Assurance and Quality Accreditation

On September 28, 2025, LHU’s first four postgraduate programs received AUN-QA accreditation from the ASEAN University Network.

These included: Master of Business Administration, Master of Civil Engineering, Master of Information Technology, Master of Finance – Banking

Additionally, LHU was one of 17 Vietnamese universities to receive institutional accreditation based on the AUN-QA 3.0 standards — a significant milestone recognizing the OETQA’s efforts in enhancing the university’s internal quality assurance system.

Throughout 2025, the OETQA continued to implement the PDCA cycle effectively in institutional self-assessment. In collaboration with the Faculty of Postgraduate Studies and relevant faculties, the LHU added four more master's programs to the list of AUN-QA-accredited offerings.

To date, LHU has 18 AUN-QA accredited programs and 2 ABET-accredited programs, reflecting its strong commitment to regional and international standards in education quality.

  1. Partnerships and Technology Transfer

On December 29, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed

between LHU and Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy.

Beyond accreditation, the Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance has also played a central role in fostering academic collaboration with both domestic and international institutions. Between 2023 and 2025, the Office facilitated several strategic agreements and technology transfers, notably the handover of a customized learning outcomes measurement system to Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

These agreements — with Hanoi University of Industry, Hai Phong University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy — marked a significant step in broadening LHU’s collaborations in the field of quality assurance.

These activities not only expanded the OETQA's influence in academic quality assurance but also demonstrated a strong spirit of innovation and practical application. Based on this foundation, numerous high-impact tools and systems have been developed and successfully transferred across various educational contexts.

Moreover, CTQA has actively shared LHU’s quality assurance model with partner institutions across the educational ecosystem, contributing to brand recognition and reinforcing LHU’s role as a pioneer in education quality assurance.

  1. Professional Development & Innovation in Teaching

The Office of Educational Testing and Quality Assurance successfully organized one seminar and two intensive training courses on the following topics: Master Teacher Training, AI Pedagogy, and AI Applications in Course Syllabus Review.

The Office also launched the "LHU Prompt Library" – an AI-powered prompt repository designed to support faculty members in innovating and enhancing their teaching practices.

  1. Academic Networking and Knowledge Sharing

Between 2024 and 2025, the OETQA welcomed delegations from Quy Nhon University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, and Centro Escolar University (Philippines) — further affirming its role as an academic bridge and a leader in quality enhancement initiatives.
