The Chinese Language Department Organized the Final Round of the 2023 Chinese Language Speech Contest

 

The final round of the "2023 Chinese Language Speech Contest" took place at 1:00 PM on May 20, 2023, at A301, Campus 1, Lac Hong University, with the competition of 10 contestants from various classes across the department. Attending the contest from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City were Mr. Xu Zhou - Deputy Consul General; Mr. Lu Bing - Consul; and Ms. Yuan Hui Na - Vice Consul.

 The delegation from the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ho Chi Minh City attended the contest.

 

From the Dong Nai provincial leadership, attendees included Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Ms. Tran Thi Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province.

On behalf of Lac Hong University, attendees included Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice President; Dr. Nguyen Huu Nghi - Head of the Oriental Studies Department; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of the International Relations Office and Deputy Head of the Oriental Studies Department; Ms. Hoang Tien Dung - Deputy Head of the International Relations Office; Ms. Phan The Anh - Head of the Chinese Language Department; and Ms. Luong Van Huy - Group Leader of the Chinese Language Department.

 Dr. Lam Thanh Hien - President attended and gave remarks at the 2023 Chinese Language Speech Contest.

 

Additionally, there was attendance from business leaders, Business Associations, university department heads, faculty members from the department, and all students of the Chinese Language major.

 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh – Vice President presented flowers to the Judging Panel of the contest.

The Judging Panel took a commemorative photo with the attendees of the contest.

 

Also at this event, during the ceremony, the Chinese Language Department awarded certificates of merit to 10 outstanding interns who completed their duties in the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year. Furthermore, the organizing committee awarded certificates of merit to students who won prizes in the Trend Tiktok ancient costume contest.

 Interns received certificates of merit for outstanding completion of duties in the second semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.

 

The Chinese Language Speech Contest is an annual departmental contest organized by the Chinese Language Department at Lac Hong University. It aims to create opportunities for students to interact with businesses, enhance job search activities, inspire learning, create a communicative environment, and improve Chinese language communication skills for students.

The contest attracted over 250 students from the Chinese Language Department. The organizing committee selected 10 finalists from various classes to compete in the final round. The students confidently presented on various interesting topics. In addition to the presentation, the contestants showcased their talents through performances such as singing, dancing, and magic tricks.

After a responsible, fair, and efficient judging process, the judging panel selected the outstanding performances and awarded prizes at the final night:

 

Encouragement Prize: Nguyen Van Sang, class 22DT111; Tran Thi Thuy Nga, class 20DT113; Phan Thi Thuy, class 21DT112; Vo Thi My Hanh, class 22DT114.

Third Prize: Dao Ngoc Tram, class 21DT113; Vu Cong Tinh - Vo Hung Tam, class 20DT115.

Second Prize: Tran Ho Ngoc Hieu, class 21DT114; Le Thi Tri Kim, class 20DT114.

First Prize: Ho Thanh Ha, class 20DT113; Le Thi Yen Nhi, class 22DT112.

The contest took place in a joyful and emotional atmosphere. Although the 2023 Chinese Language Speech Contest has ended, its vibrant echoes and vibrant colors will leave a lasting impression on the audience and participating contestants.
