10 years of collaboration and a MoU opening up new opportunities for LHU

On January 16, 2025, LHU and MISF (Mabuchi International Scholarship Foundation) signed a MoU under the witnesses of representatives of the two sides. The event also marks the 10-year journey of establishment and development of MISF at LHU.

In 2015, LHU was honored to receive funding from the Mabuchi Scholarship Fund which has helped LHU's disadvantaged students overcome financial concerns and continue to pursue their academic journey. Notably, the MISF also creates favorable conditions for outstanding students who wish to study in Japan.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Vinh - Head of the Office of Academic Affairs, Secretary of the MISF at LHU, a total of 376 students have received this scholarship with a total value reaching 8,024,000,000 VND. The Fund has assisted hundreds of difficult students with a strong determination to excel in their studies, affirming its significant role in providing learning opportunities for those who strive to excel in both studies and life.

Since 2024, the MISF has officially offered students with interest-free loans of 1.5 million VND per month, equivalent to 15 million VND per year. This amount is directly transferred to students’ accounts, ensuring financial stability throughout their study period of 3.5 to 4.5 years depending on their majors. This initiative provides a practical and effective solution for students facing financial challenges while pursuing their academic dreams.

During an earlier meeting with interested students, Ms. Mabuchi Takako, MISF Advisor emphasized "The MISF does not give money away - giving it away would be easy. But our scholarship fund is driven by a greater purpose: when you need help, we are here to offer you a ray of hope. We believe in your determination to rise above challenges, and those who strive forward in life always find a way to give back. Thanks to this, we can continue supporting those in need. In fact, we have also received full repayments from LHU students."

2025 marks the 10th anniversary of the MISF at LHU. This renewed MoU also introduces several key changes, aiming for a more comprehensive partnership. Under the MoU, the MISF will continue to introduce its scholarship as well as provide consultation in science, technology, and robotics, further strengthening LHU’s technological advancements in the future.
