International collaboration is one of LHU’s greatest strengths. With the goal of expanding and enhancing the effectiveness of global partnerships while maintaining high quality in education and training, LHU is committed to fostering long-term cooperative relationships with reputable universities and organizations worldwide. These partnerships focus on joint research and technology transfer, organizing international conferences, and facilitating student and faculty exchange programs.
Through international collaboration, LHU has significantly improved the quality of its teaching, learning, and research activities.
Over its 28 years of establishment and development, LHU has signed more than 550 cooperation agreements with enterprises, including upwards of 152 foreign-invested companies.
At present, LHU is actively collaborating with and signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with over 100 universities, colleges, and organizations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, including institutions in the UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea, China, and organizations such as BANPAKU, KOICA, and Sanhak. In particular, partnerships with Asian countries such as Cambodia, Laos, and the Philippines have been diversified and steadily developed.
The Office of International Affairs is established to manage all of the LHU's cooperative projects. Acting as an advisory unit, the Office supports the Management Board in external relations and is responsible for the following duties:
• Organizing negotiations and meetings between the University and foreign institutions, including the preparation of all related documents and materials.
• Drafting contracts, coordinating signing ceremonies between parties, and planning to monitor the implementation of signed agreements.
• Leading cooperation with international organizations in academic activities, research, and faculty and student exchange programs.
• Searching for scholarships from overseas universities and colleges for the University’s teachers, students, and staff.
• Developing and implementing overseas study consultancy programs, and organizing seminars and conferences on academics and scientific research in collaboration with international partner institutions.
• Ensuring compliance with legal procedures when signing agreements with partners.
• Preparing periodic reports on cooperative activities.
• Developing medium- and long-term strategies, as well as annual plans for international cooperation.
• Providing advice and support to departments and staff on matters related to international relations.
• Offering consultation on joint undergraduate training programs in collaboration with universities worldwide.
• Coordinating with the Office of Administrative Affairs to oversee and manage incoming international delegations, ensuring smooth arrival and departure procedures.
• Organizing official receptions to welcome international delegations.
• Acting as an Overseas Study Consultancy Center, providing guidance to individuals seeking to study abroad and assisting with the processing of all necessary procedures related to overseas education.
